In general, your grades are quite important when it comes to college applications in Europe, which is why it is good to have high grades. However, grades do not tell your whole story and aren't all that matters. Do your best and work hard in order to achieve your goals.
Almost all of the universities in Europe will ask for recommendation letters. Keep in mind that you should ask teachers who knows you well and can speak about your abilities in and outside of the classroom, work ethic, etc.
Your essay/statement of purpose is a vital aspect of any college application. It gives you a chance to express your voice, talents, abilities, passions, as well as your reasons for choosing the college you plan on studying at.
